Pietriccio e La Costa
Pietriccio is mentioned in Siena’s road Statute in the late thirteenth century. At the beginning of the fourteenth century it belonged, together with La Costa, to the curia of San Giusto a Balli. Its houses still show medieval structures and, in the upper part, you can see parts of the walls of an ancient fortress with portal and arched windows that are now part of a farmhouse.
